Rumani Bhandari is an accomplished education and training professional
with over eight years of experience. She currently serves as an Assistant
Professor in the Department of Soft Skills-III at Lovely Professional
University (LPU), playing a key role in enhancing both student employability
and faculty professional development. At LPU, Rumani has led more than 10
Disha- Career Counselling and Development placement-readiness
workshops , helping both students and faculty refine their skills to meet
industry standards. As an active member of LPU’s curriculum development
committee, she contributes to creating and revising soft skills courses that
align with current market demands, ensuring students are prepared for
successful placements.
Rumani’s extensive contributions at LPU include mentoring students for top
placements with companies such as Uniqlo, Deloitte, and Swiggy. She is also
deeply involved in student engagement, providing interview preparation
sessions, overseeing mock interview drives, and conducting internal
screenings to identify and prepare candidates for key placement
opportunities. She recently earned her qualifying certificate in Employability
Skill Development from JSW MG Motor India Pvt. Ltd., under the MG Nurture
initiative, adding to her qualifications in employability training. Additionally,
Rumani has anchored numerous corporate events for notable companies
like TCS, Bonn, Novo Nordisk, Adani Group, and Wabtec, enhancing LPU’s
reputation through her engaging presentations. Her leadership and
evaluative skills were also showcased when she served as a judge for LPU’s
prestigious Magnitude event, further contributing to student development
initiatives on campus.

Previously, Rumani worked as an Academic Specialist at Audaz in Bangalore,
where she specialized in curriculum design and workshop facilitation. She
developed curriculum frameworks aligned with industry requirements and
organized Faculty Development Programs (FDPs) across institutions like

BNMIT, KSIT, and REVA University, focusing on effective pedagogy and career-
readiness training. At Audaz, she also led the training of over 40 trainers,

equipping them with content delivery skills to ensure impactful and engaging
sessions.
Rumani also has significant experience with Chandigarh University (CU), where
she organized mock drives and interview preparation sessions tailored to help
students succeed in corporate recruitment processes. Her work at CU
involved conducting interview screenings and internal evaluations, assessing
students’ readiness for placement opportunities and mentoring them on areas
of improvement. This experience, combined with her role at LPU, has enabled
her to refine a practical, outcome-driven approach to student mentorship,
ensuring that her students are well-prepared for the rigorous demands of
corporate interviews.
