Name : Dr. Hema K A

I am a dedicated researcher with a deep passion for understanding and addressing gender-related issues, particularly concerning women’s experiences and social exclusion. My academic journey has equipped me with a strong foundation in social research and policy analysis. I hold a Ph.D. from the Centre for the Study of Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy Research at the University of Hyderabad, India. My doctoral research focused on the exclusionary experiences of childless women in Kerala, shedding light on the complex social and cultural factors that contribute to their marginalization. I served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Work at St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Irinjalakuda. This experience allowed me to engage with students and contribute to their understanding of social issues and gender dynamics. My research interests have led me to publish papers and present at conferences on infertility and childlessness among women in Kerala. I am committed to disseminating my findings and contributing to informed discussions on these critical issues. I am enhancing my analytical skills by pursuing a Research Analyst program at Humber Polytechnic in Toronto, Ontario. This program provides me with valuable training in advanced research methodologies and data analysis techniques. I am eager to contribute my expertise and passion to research projects and organizations that strive to promote gender equality and social inclusion. I believe that research can be a powerful tool for social change, and I am committed to using my skills to make a positive impact on the lives of marginalized communities.
